After you copy (or restore) a Infor SyteLine multisite environment and try to log in you receive the error message:

“The license document installed on this system is invalid”.

After copying or restoring the environment license as well as user modules will need to be reapplied for each user account. If you try to log into the system before doing this, you will experience the problem shown above. To solve this problem you would log in as sa and reapply the licenseSleeping half-moon as well as remove and add back all the user modules for each user account.

What if someone applied a user module to the sa account by mistake and now, after you copied the environment, you can’t log into SyteLine as sa?

Start Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and connect to your SQL server. The locate the application database for the site/entity you are trying to log into and having an issue with. Expand the database, then expand the Tables. Locate a table called dbo.UserNames, then right click on it and choose Select Top 1000 Rows. We are looking for the UserID of the user account we are having issues with (sa in this particular case).

Now that we have determined that the sa UserId is 2, back in the SQL Management Studio, we want to Edit Top 200 Rows of the dbo.UserModules table, and remove all modules associated with UserId 2.

Highlight the appropriate rows and delete them.

If you try logging into SyteLine now, you will be able to do so without running into any error messages.
