You can obtain the firmware from It is in the Downloads section, under the PS Series Firmware.

At the time of this writing, the newest firmware release is 6.0.7. If you click on the link you’ll be prompted to download the file. Once downloaded, navigate to the Maintenance tab in the PS Group Manager utility, then click on the Update Firmware… button.

When prompted enter in the appropriate administrative password to proceed with the firmware upgrade. Default credentials are grpadmin/grpadmin.

Next, browse to the location where you have downloaded and extracted the firmware.

Pick and choose which member array you’d like to upgrade the firmware on. Per Equallogic TAC, it is recommended all members in the group are running the same firmware version.

Alternatively, you can use an FTP client (we’ll be using FileZilla in our example) to connect to the Equallogic member array and upload the .tgz firmware file into the root of the file system on the PS6100.

Then back at the console of the array (accessible via serial connection or ssh), issue the update command and then answer yes.

Once completed you’ll see the message Update completed successfully. Make sure to restart the array in order for the changes to take effect.

You can do so back in the PS Group Manager, under the Maintenance tab, by clicking on the Restart button.

Once the array restarts you can verify the firmware version under the Controllers tab. Please note that the previous firmware revision was 6.0.6 and it has been upgraded to version 6.0.7.
