In Infor SyteLine you define user accounts in the Users form. Let’s say you’ve created many (hundreds or thousands) of user accounts in one of your sites. You are most likely going to want all of those user accounts configured in other sites or entities if you are using a multisite environment. Alternatively, you may have a production and a development environment and you want to have same user accounts configured in both places. User accounts can be manually created in the additional sites/environments or you can use the Copy User Tables 2008 utility to do so.

Copy User Tables 2008 utility can be found on your Infor SyteLine Utility server, under All Programs > Infor > Tools. Righ click on it and select Run as administrator.

In addition, use the Source Database drop down menu to select the database from which you want to copy your users list.

Next, select the Target tab. Similarly, we’ll specify the SQL Server Name and credentials to connect to it, as well as the Target Database. This will be the database you wan to copy the user accounts to.

What you’ll want to do next is select the Login tab in the Copy User Tables utility.

Here we need to specify the credentials for the site/entity you are copying the user accounts to. Assuming you are copying user accounts from Source_NYC_App to Target_NYC_App databases, you will want to specify either the Infor SyteLine sa credentials from the Target NYC configuration. In the Data Source Config dropdown you will select the Infor SyteLine configuration name you are using as your target. Following our example you would select Target NYC over here.

You are now ready to copy users. You can do so by clicking on the Copy button.

You can monitor the progress of the process in the status bar. Once done you will see the message informing you that the copy process has been successfully completed.

Note that the user copy process will copy over Group memberships as well. It will copy information such as User Initials and Multi-Site Group value listed under Additional Info tab for the user account. Email addresses defined for user accounts will not get copied over. Similarly User Modules will not get copied over and would need to be manually reapplied.
